How old is the graft in the first photo and what size when you grafted it?

Backyard-Chief

the scions on these sublata were taken from the same container of seedlings.  they were also grafted around the same time, march 19.  so the graft is roughly 7 months old.  i forget exactly when those seedlings were planted.  but id guess they were under three months.

i'm experimenting right now with some much younger seedlings.  i read somewhere this is preferable.
