General Discussion / Re: Home brew setup

This is very impressive. We are intrigued and interested in learning more about how all this fancy equipment works.

Are you familiar with  Stephen Harrod Buhner's: Sacred and Herbal Healing Beers?

We would be quite interested in learning how all that stainless steel could contribute to the recipes presented in that guidebook.  ;D

We are pleased to see some our favourite ghosts of past forum incarnations here. We hope all are doing well and love to see a forum starting well from the (under)ground up.

We look forward to contributing to the revolution of advanced entheogensis.

All the love

Not plants, but don't forget the mushrooms!

Lab analysis of 9 separate P. alba samples show they do not contain the desired alkaloid profile. Best to stick with viridis or nexus, if going that route, however these plants are picky and a suitable environment requires both high humidity and extensive fresh air exchange which can be hard to balance outside a tropical environment.

We are still waiting for someone to try Psychotria in a hydro/aero/aqua-ponics setup.

We would also recommend Trichocereus bridgesii as a starter cacti over T. pachanoi or T. peruvianus due to significant misrepresentation of the latter two in the online marketplace.

Thus far, we have never been able to get Ska Maria to spread her toes into an aqueous solution.

She roots quickly and aggressively when we put her in earth, but she seems reticent to aquatic living.

If you still have that fancy system sitting empty, have you considered trying Psychotria or Tabernanthe?

We have found with oil tek, that less messy and more favourable results are obtained by making initial pulls from dried and based powder/resin with alcohol then dissolving the resulting crude freebase gunk into the oil, rather than pulling with the oil directly.

We also find citric/ascorbic/fumaric acid dissolved in water superior to vinegar for salting steps.

We've experimented with making a few batches of cannabis based ejuice.

It is possible to to simply soak herbal material in veg glycerine but this makes for a very weak juice.

We found best results were obtained when starting with a nice concentrate (we like to use honey oil resulting from filtering ethanol soaks through activated carbon).

Upon testing, one quickly finds that cannabis concentrate does not readily dissolve into VG (even when heated).

What is required to complete the process is an emulsifier. Most of the commercial vendors use lecithin.

We opted to dissolve our concentrate back into minimal ethanol.

The concentrate infused ethanol is mixed into he vg at the desired concentration (we use no more than a 1:10 eth:vg ratio).

Heat can be carefully applied to the mixture for better solvency and decarboxylation.

The VG makes for nice thick clouds and the ethanol adds just enough throat hit to make for rewarding smoalk.
