We here at Sacred Cactus are a devoted group of friends that enjoy these particular forms of desert flora and other biological diversity. We decided to create this space on the web to put together a specific set of information for cacti. Through the sharing of ideas and resource intensive research, we hope to become an extensive database for everything cacti.
We will cover a broad range of topics, including everything from germination and cultivation, grafting and pollinating, historical medicinal and ethnobotanical usage to decoration and disease prevention. We plan to bring everything we can together to cover as much as we can.
There is a lot happening in the field of cacti. Re-orderings, re-classifications, newly analyzed GC/MS samples. The biodiversity of the cacti family is vast and under studied. If we can pull all of our resources together and share our work we can build this Tao of cacti. A cornucopia of knowledge. Please join us in our journey and share your own with us.
As we continue to grow and develop, the display and functioning of the site will evolve as well. We welcome any recommendations and suggestions that you may have to help us out. Help us all out. If you have anything to contribute, please do so. If there is a medium that is not suitable for your submissions please let us know and we will do everything we can to accommodate you.
