Title: [Guide] THC Extracted into "Eliquid"
Post by: thc420 on January 25, 2015, 04:02:44 PM
This is a place holder. I intend to write a tek with a pictorial about processing cannabis into "eliquid" or vapor cigarette fuel.

I tried making some with glycerine as the carrier. Gives a great impression of plumes of smoke, but seems like it can't carry enough to make it worthwhile.  I haven't tried propylene glycol.

We've experimented with making a few batches of cannabis based ejuice.

It is possible to to simply soak herbal material in veg glycerine but this makes for a very weak juice.

We found best results were obtained when starting with a nice concentrate (we like to use honey oil resulting from filtering ethanol soaks through activated carbon).

Upon testing, one quickly finds that cannabis concentrate does not readily dissolve into VG (even when heated).

What is required to complete the process is an emulsifier. Most of the commercial vendors use lecithin.

We opted to dissolve our concentrate back into minimal ethanol.

The concentrate infused ethanol is mixed into he vg at the desired concentration (we use no more than a 1:10 eth:vg ratio).

Heat can be carefully applied to the mixture for better solvency and decarboxylation.

The VG makes for nice thick clouds and the ethanol adds just enough throat hit to make for rewarding smoalk.
