Nice Astrophytum. I see you have plenty of stock material to graft this one onto... unless your going to grow it out on its own roots? I have a few Astrophytum seedlings germinating as we speak. I must confess, I love the variability with Astrophytums. What I wouldn't do to get a few nice Japanese Astros.

Found this picture of a Lophastro. Thought I would share it with you as I see you like Lophophora and Astrophytum and this is the best of both as it looks like the mom was a Lophophora and the pollen donor was an Astrophytum. Now, I have to wonder if the Astrophora x Lophastro would produce any interesting progeny....

The kikko kohyo forms are indeed some of my favorites and when you toss in variegation then you truly have an Astrophytum to die. Those are some wickedly nice specimens you have found indeed.
