Title: Is winter dormancy inevitable?
Post by: ForrestTheGump on November 26, 2018, 06:03:07 PM
Hey guys, first post here lol.
So I have a couple San Pedro, and a few other similar looking cacti (but with small leaves in the summer) a large Jade plant, and a few other succulents.

Anyways I was wondering if I could keep them from going dormant in the winter by using artificial lighting? I live in Michigan and for the last few years I've been bringing them inside for the winter and just putting them by a window.

If I tried to mimic summer conditions with sufficient light and a longer photo-period, would they continue to grow actively?

Thanks!
