Just got some new Lophophora williamsii var. caespitosa plants in. Plan on potting them up in a few days.
There's around 40-50 plants in the photo and I have another 50-70 plants.

I love this variety, I recently saw several of L.w. var caespitosa variegate for sale. I sure miss my old collection, as I had a few variegated specimens myself, but I have been moving way too much and not standing still. Its hard to see your old collections disappear every time you move. Ahh, but such is life. Good to see your doing good Roach.
Okay, I'm hitting this one again as you have over 100+ of one of my favorites.... L. w. var. caespitosa and I have to ask... with so many different cacti... did you find one that stands out from the rest? Is there a favorite you will be working with to produce more seedlings of the same or to make new crosses with? Any planned crosses for the new year? I don't care if they have a name or a known region... I just want to hear that you have some decent selections and ideas for planned crosses based on some traits you like whether that be unusual or desired flower, tillering, phenotype, etc.
I sold all of them before noticing any variations.
Okay then. Lauging, I guess that is what happens when you get hit by the hybridizing bug and you have a lab background. Sitting behind a microscope examining cells all day looking for minor differences and such and still, I'm like you and sometimes don't notice much of a difference worth mentioning either, but it never hurts to ask. Still, I see most of those had 5 ribs, a few with 4 ribs, and one with 10+ ribs....
