I have two 1.5-2cm big lophophora williamsii and a bunch of pereskiopsis grafting stock. I would like to attempt Anne's hydrophora tek, and the first step towards it is grafting the loph to the pere. I drew a simple graph showing my plan. Can you guys confirm if it will work? Also, is it OK if the scion is slightly bigger than the stock's thickness?

once they start growing it moves FAST.
youll wanna run with it without slow downs.
this thread is a prime opportunity
to demo how anyone with determination, can grow an entire phorest in a season!

i have a button thats a little smaller but rooted.
im thinking of impallingit to a peres?
and using myred/blue 60 piece led screw in to regular socket bulb to get it going
i have sterile scalpels and grafting area.
im wondering more about the led
ok lets touch on basics first.......
observe the pics.
first ones from the original HTTL teks
then some tools ( use safety glasses)
and then some charts........for future reference thru this thread.

this is actually a multi part thing.
part is growing peres, part is growing lophs, part is growing both together in hydro.

awesome. that clears things up as for nutrient concentration and water levels! thanks anne! i see why adjustments must be made very slow. as you're waiting weeks for feedback. probably best for me to start with three slightly different concentrations for three sample groups and learn to spot the subtle changes. good luck sprac! post some pics!
