How old is the graft in the first photo and what size when you grafted it?

the scions on these sublata were taken from the same container of seedlings.  they were also grafted around the same time, march 19.  so the graft is roughly 7 months old.  i forget exactly when those seedlings were planted.  but id guess they were under three months. 

i'm experimenting right now with some much younger seedlings.  i read somewhere this is preferable.

update!  hope everybody is doing well!  the date this one was grafted was actually april 19, 2015.  so here is one year of growth in two pictures.

major mite and rot issues this winter.. but this one continues to grow quite strongly!  seeing the benefits of soilless mixes for the bug issues alone.
